Find charge on K in KCl

Help me, I'm in struggle with this one.

Can you tell in details how do you find a charge on the potassium in KCl?

Hello!

Oxidation number of KCl  equals zero, as KCl is a neutral molecule.

Potassium (K) has an oxidation of +1 (group 1 element)

So

 K+1Cl-1  => KCl0 OR KCl.

(K) in KCl is +1.
